With a robust international background in dentistry gained in her home country Romania, Dr. Lavinia Popescu embarked on a journey to continue her passion upon moving to the USA.
From an early age, she was immersed in the dental world, actively collaborating with dental practitioners on mission trips serving underprivileged communities.
She received her first Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University Of Medicine and Pharmacology ‘Carol Davila’ in Bucharest, Romania, and after practicing for several years she moved to the US. Here, she went to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Beyond the dental chair, spending quality moments with her husband, and her two daughters, Chloe and Eloise, brings her immeasurable joy and purpose.
She is also involved and has great interest in community work - often joining other volunteers on mission trips to countries in Africa, South/Latin America and Eastern Europe. These trips give Dr. Popescu the opportunity to be involved in educating the locals on oral hygiene and to provide much needed dental care.
